We’re currently looking for a talented professional with a strong financial and commercial background to carry out quantity surveying duties on a range of projects across the UK.
At E.ON Energy Installation Services Ltd, we are a multi-disciplined construction company delivering exciting projects across the UK. We’re a true construction company working on multi million pound projects to procure, coordinate and deliver a vast array of measures to our diverse portfolio of clients. However it is not just energy efficiency measures we offer, but also traditional building services. At the forefront of new technologies in the UK, we’re the experts delivering for local authorities and housing associations, as well as one off measures for our able to pay customers. Be it installations (loft CWI, EWI), Heating, Biomass, Heat Pumps or PV, we’re leading the way in regenerating communities and building a better future.
We’re currently looking for a talented professional with a strong financial and commercial background to carry out quantity surveying duties on a range of projects across the UK. Primarily site based – often three days a week – you’ll be responsible for the commercial control of the projects. That will involve the valuation of subcontract applications and invoices, raising internal invoices, carrying out cost analysis and monitoring project performance from contractual and commercial perspectives. Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you’ll also be responsible for the preparation of pricing schedules and a wide range of contract types, including T&M, NEC, JCT and bespoke service agreements. It will also be down to you to provide contractual, commercial and financial support for the Delivery team.
However, you also bring stakeholder management skills. That’s because another of your key responsibilities will be managing our relationships with contractors and suppliers, leading negotiations with them as well as ensuring they are all fully approved and adhering to the highest quality standards. You will always be striving to improve commercial competitiveness as well, fostering relationships with new suppliers and contractors wherever you can. You will be supported in all this by an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, so you’ll be expected to help with their development too. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to take their next construction step, with one of the biggest energy companies in the world.
