Job description

You will work as part of a team supporting the biggest and most strategic pursuits and proposals in our Consulting business, working alongside senior management, including Partners and Directors on a daily basis, as we strive to help our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. You'll play an integral role supporting staff as required for an outstanding variety of work and making contributions to the team on a daily basis.

This 12 month fixed-term contract within Consulting, will give you first-hand experience of the exciting world of winning work; focused on sales, proposals and business development. You will get to see how the business works and how it is commercially successful - becoming an expert in creating winning proposals and innovative value propositions for our clients.

Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to provide support in these key areas:
  • Proposal and pitch coordination - a key role working as part of pursuit and proposal teams in G&HI cluster, contributing to high quality winning pursuits, proposals and pitches
  • Sales support - supporting sales campaigns, account development, sales lead tracking and salesforce reporting
  • Team administration - Deliver ongoing activities to support efficient and high quality service delivered to Consulting Partners & Directors..

  • Exceptional written and verbal skills

  • Attention to detail and quality at all times
  • Ability to balance multiple engagements
Any proposal or sales support experience in a business environment is beneficial but not mandatory.

A typical day

This is a varied role, so no two days are exactly the same, however you will find yourself working on the following types of activities:
  • Weekly team huddles to share information on workload
  • Researching client and competitor information to inform proposal strategy, win themes and proposal storyboarding
  • Planning, organising and attending proposal workshops
  • Creating and updating proposal plans
  • Organising and holding regular status update meetings and producing reports
  • Supporting teams to develop persuasive and impactful proposal content and pitches
  • Facilitating the proposal design process
  • Searching and updating proposal body of knowledge
  • Using Salesforce to track and report on sales pipeline - and encouraging opportunity owners to follow salesforce best practise
  • Gathering and reviewing client feedback to inform future proposals.
