An Opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Assistant to join the estates / maintenance team at QE Facilities Limited.

This post is field based, mainly within the Newcastle/Gateshead area, however you may be required to carry out work at any other site maintained by QE Facilities.

The successful candidates will be required to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and breakdown maintenance to all aspects of electrical/mechanical plant, distribution and equipment including work of a technical and/or non-routine nature.

All work must be carried out in compliance within QE Facilities safety standards and national legislation. The post holder must be fully aware of their Health & Safety responsibilities relating to their work and possess sufficient technical knowledge to avoid any danger to themselves, colleagues, hospital staff, patients and members of the public.

Must be able to work and act on his/her own initiative with minimum supervision and possess the ability to work and communicate effectively in a pleasant manner with all other members of staff across the QE Facilities remit.
