As a Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE) Compliance Manager at HS2 you will BE responsible for ensuring HS2's quality, health, safety, security and environmental management standards are met within development and delivery areas, by both HS2 and the Supply Chain.
About the role:
  • To be accountable for role modelling and embedding 'Safe at Heart' culture and ways of working throughout delivery.
  • To be responsible for supporting risk based Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment operational assurance within the development and delivery areas.
  • To be accountable for overseeing and ensuring compliance to centrally defined Safety and Assurance processes and policies across:
    • Quality
    • Occupational Health
    • Safety
    • Security
    • Environmental Management
  • To be responsible for supporting the investigation of Health, Safety, Security and Environment incidents within delivery areas.
  • To be accountable for facilitating the provision of Safety and Assurance services to support development & delivery teams.
  • Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.


Qualifications:

About You:

  • Experience of delivering assurance across a major programme, or a complex organisation, with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary Quality or Health & Safety team
  • Experience of leading complex and challenging investigations.
  • All aspects of health and safety, including occupational health, health and safety elements of the Works Information, security policies/procedures/processes and Environment Management policies, procedures and processes.
  • Broad knowledge of range of assurance activities, tools, techniques and their application
  • A professional qualification in Health and Safety or able to demonstrate the equivalent experience of a Chartered Member
  • The post-holder is expected to behave at all times in a manner consistent with the HS2 values of Safety, Leadership, Integrity and Respect.
