Quality Transformation Leader
Department: Innovation Quality Europe
Reporting to: Innovation Quality Manager Homecare, Beauty & Personal Care Europe
Background
The Quality Transformation and Innovation leader plays an important role to embed and influence quality in Unilever’s new business models, including the ones related to merges and acquisitions. The main responsibility is to define quality requirements relevant to the model, provide technical support; as well as influence that applicable Unilever quality and innovation frameworks and tools are being followed (such as risk assessment and risk mitigation, building in consumer feedback and learnings form previous projects, launch monitoring plans, post-launch evaluations)
Quality Transformation and Innovation Leader will interface with all relevant functions and areas (incl. Marketing, R&D, Legal, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Sourcing Units, Planning, Procurement, local, regional and global Quality teams) in order to guarantee alignment and engagement in all quality related activities.
Job Summary
Supports Unilever Quality strategy, governance and goals through European specific projects and targets.
Influence quality culture by continuously strengthen the understanding and meaning of quality in the Unilever Europe organization. Positively support consumer centric quality culture and its deployment throughout other functions within the business.
Define and implement end to end quality requirements for new business models
Support transition of Innovations from Merges & Acquisitions into Unilever models
Support roll out of new Brands or Categories into Europe by partnering with Brand, R&D and Supply Chain, embedding Quality requirements to ensure Consumer Safety.
Support define and transition of new business models and strategy including projects for new Brands, new channels (ecomm and Professional range)
Coordinate alongside Quality Capabilities on key Quality elements to be embedded in new business models
Provide quality inputs for decision making forums related to new business models
Provide support on continuous improvement for innovation framework and tools on merges and acquisitions and different business models
Identify and transfer “Best Practices“ and “Lessons learned” across divisions as well as across EU Quality community
Facilitate quality reporting and analysis related to new business models and innovations on merges and acquisitions
Serious Issue Management: Supports Unilever Europe in managing Consumer Safety, Legal or other incidents.
SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE
Education:
Desirable: University Degree level, in a Business, Science (Chemistry, Microbiology, Foods Science), or Engineering discipline
Profile:
Essential: working experience in the following areas
min. 2-3 years of Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing and/or R&D experience in Personal Care, Food and/or Refreshment products
Problem solving and continuous improvement processes
Managing own workload and project planning. Must be able to take leadership on certain activities
Interpersonal relationships, strong team player, ability to influence where direct control or responsibility lays with other groups or functions.
Flexibility and ability to adapt in different situations.
Project Management
Experience in ‘Digitalization’ is a plus
Desirable: experience in the following areas
HACCP, GMP, ISO, Hygiene, allergen management
auditing skills (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO22716)
Statistical data analysis skills
Regulatory/legislation

Additional Information
Some European business travel is required. Occasional travel outside of the EU
This role is a 3 year fixed contract, however there could be opportunities within Unilever for other roles.
