West Heath Medical Centre, 194-196 West Heath Road, Northfield, Birmingham, B31 3HB are looking to recruit a Reception Team Leader to join their busy practice working 30 hours per week on a flexible basis.

Flexibility is required to cover the surgeries 8am-815pm opening hours Monday-Sunday, to cover for annual leave and sickness and the shift pattern will be discussed at interview.

The main duties will be to provide face to face first point of contact for patients and to act as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors and other medical staff. You must answer the telephone, book appointments and other related rasks. You will have responsibility for the reception team rota, and supervise and ensure the effective working of the reception. You will also be exptected to attend practice management meetings and implement changes in administrative procedures.

The successful candidate must be confident with computers, have previous medical experience, the ability to multi-task, and possess a good telephone manner. You must be proficient in reading and writing English and have a good understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality. You msut be willing to undergo a DBS check.
