Drawing upon the knowledge and expertise of health professionals from across the borough, our vision is to deliver a robust publicly-funded health and social care service which meets the needs of the local community. The main purpose of the position of Receptionist is to receive and exchange routine information between Clinicians, Health Care providers, staff, patients and external agencies via the telephone and face to face communication. You will act as the interface between the Practice and patients using tact and persuasive skills.The ideal candidate will be a team player with a good standard of education. You will be self-motivated and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will have the ability to use your own initiative to deal with problems and situation under pressure.

Experience in reception work would be an advantage, and experience with a clinical system such as SystmOne is highly desirable, but training will be given. The position is to work within the opening hours of 7.30am - 6.30pm on a shift rota system. You will also need to be flexible in your hours to cover for holidays as and when required, and to participate in working in the extended hours service ad hoc.
