Job Title - Recycling Operative
Salary - £16,087 basic salary plus a performance-based recycling bonus of up to £255 per quarter (£1,020pa), plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Location -Veolia, Lewes HWRS, Ham Lane, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 3PS.
Hours - Full time, 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, Weekend work is required every week with two weekdays off.
To carry out recycling operative tasks at a household waste recycling site.
To ensure the health and safety of all members of the public, visitors, staff and contractors at the site.
Ensure that materials on site are recycled as much as possible.
To assist the public, providing information, guidance and help carrying their waste and recycling when required and if safe to do so.
To attend any training deemed necessary for the role.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Experience within a customer-facing role
Ability to communicate effectively within a team and with the general public
Work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and customer orientated
Experience as a Recycling Operative

Where you’ll work
Lewes Household Waste Recycling Site is a fairly small site in Lewes for members of the public to bring their waste and recycling. There is a small team of 3 people that work there. The work is varied and includes working outdoors in all weathers assisting members of the public, ensuring their safety, and recycling as much as possible.
