John Lewis Home Improvement - the joining of Opun & Home Solutions, is at the forefront of addressing our changing customer propositions in addressing our customer home needs. Offering services from bathrooms and kitchens to lofts, this new venture demonstrates the commitment of Home Services in delivering the very best for our current and future customers.As the Residential Site Manager you will manage the relationships between Opun, our customers and Trade Partners, to oversee a variety of internal alternation projects such as; lofts, extensions and full house refurbishment. You will ensure all customers receive the very best level of workmanship and customer service and projects run smoothly. Please note: This role is a Field Based role with regular travel to customer locations. Due to the nature of the role there may be times when we need you to be flexible with your hours.
Day to Day● You will oversee a variety of projects in your region to ensure the customer receives the very best level of workmanship and customer service.● You will ensure that all sub-contract Trade Partners under your responsibility deliver in line with each project requirement, adhering to agreed budgets and the Opun standard.● You will ensure that all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.● Support the Regional Trade Partner Account Manager in maintaining an adequate number of trade partners to deliver the required capacity for delivery.● Ensure adequate visibility of each project undertaken to enable effective resolution of any problems before they impact the customer● Be constantly aware of, and implement strategies, to overcome problems that may impact the timely delivery of each project requirement or cost● Run supplier meetings including regular progress reviews to ensure contract performance and understand the status of each Trade Partner that we work with● Participate in improvement opportunities, sharing best practice where appropriate within other sectors/projects.● Support the management team through the provision of timely reports, data or other such information as may be required.● Visit customers regularly. Then visit them again - making our customers feel special is paramount to us.● Be responsible for the checking and validation of Trade Partner quotations, ensuring that they are in line with (fair) market price at all times● To be the gold standard to which all other Trade Partner Assessors can follow● When required, and where the business dictates, undertake to manage direct reports, ensuring they are effectively directed at achievement of company and project objectives.
Required essential experience skills and qualifications
● Proven experience within residential construction, working on projects such as loft, extensions, refurbishments ● Working knowledge of the residential trade● Proven experience of managing subcontractors or their own team● Exceptional customer service and project management skills● Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations● Dispute resolution experience● Advanced IT skills● Having the ability to problem solve, be proactive and think outside of the box
