Job Title - Regional Telesales Team Leader

Location - St. Ives, Cambridgeshire

Grade - 5.1

What you’ll do

You will support, lead and motivate the Telesales team. Drive increased local sales activity through the team by delivering both individual and team external appointment levels for field sales team to attend. Manage specific marketing lead campaigns and support with mystery shopper experience calls.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Improve local sales activity rates through effective appointment setting team objectives

  • Field Sales Team diary management

  • Build and manage effective opportunity pipeline

  • Analyse data and kpi’s to drive performance and build future plans 

  • Leading a team of four Telesales Advisors (Appointment setters)

  • Coach and development team in effective call skills

  • Build strong relationships with field sales teams to maximise their efficiencies

  • Working with marketing to build exciting marketing campaigns to support the team and the fields activity

  • Provide regular monthly reporting to sales leadership team

  • Support mystery shopping campaigns to help with customer and industry insights

  • Ensure all incoming leads are followed up and appointed within 24 hours of being received

  • Compliance with all Veolia policies and procedures 

              Your knowledge, skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential to be successful in this role

  • You will be responsible for leading, coaching and supporting a team of 4 

  • Appointment setting experience, together with a background in objection handling 

  • Exceptional  organisation ability 

  • KPI analysis and development

  • Possess the ability to work at pace, whilst working with attention to detail

  • Competent IT ability

Desirable background and skills

  • High volume outbound call centre environment

  • Sales background

  • Knowledge of Salesforce 

  • Understand  the waste industry

Qualifications
 

 Your Knowledge, skills and experience

 

To be successful for the role it is essential that you have a proven track record in New Business field sales and/or commercial activities, together with a proven track record of building a New Business pipeline of potential opportunities to further generate and exceed a given sales target.

 

You will have an excellent knowledge of the sales cycle with exceptional networking and negotiation skills. In addition, you will have strong presentation skills and possess outstanding verbal and written communication ability. Additionally, you will be a driven, self-starter and be IT literate.
