Relief Mental Health Outreach Worker

To help us deliver this ambitious vision, we are now looking for Mental health outreach workers to join us on a relief basis.
This role provides a vital service within the community working with individuals with mental health requirements to help improve their quality of life, their ability to sustain their tenancies and the achievement of independent living. You will help to improve their lives by;
- Maximising the independence of people who require support and enabling real choices in how they lead their lives
- Providing housing related support such as supporting people to access their benefits entitlements; pay their rent and household bills; secure appropriate accommodation; access employment, volunteering and training opportunities.
- On occasion assisting some people with personal care, administering medication and undertaking domestic chores.
- Maintaining accurate records of support provided, maintaining risk assessment and support plans

Sharing our passion for improving lives you will ideally have worked in a similar role supporting individuals with enduring mental health needs. You’ll demonstrate a supportive and caring nature and display good communication and listening skills with a strong ability to provide advice to help our customers.
You’ll ideally have experience of working with partner agencies such as Local authority housing departments with a good knowledge of welfare benefits and budgeting skills.
You will also be comfortable managing anti social behaviour and providing positive behaviour support.
