Contract type : Fixed Term/Secondment for 9 months to cover Maternity Leave

Hours : 30 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Research Grant Development Officer to cover a maternity post within the Research and Development Department at York Hospital, to assist with the increased number of grant applications being considered, explored and submitted. We hope the role will maximise on our external funding opportunities.

The post holder will lead on the provision of a comprehensive research support service in terms of developing research grant proposals to a variety of external funders, and forging collaborations with researchers in a variety of local and national institutions, to put together a strong team to deliver the proposed research. The post holder will also work closely with the Research Advisor who is responsible for all applications for Trust Sponsorship.

The successful candidate must be educated to Masters or equivalent level in a natural /social science or health discipline. Knowledge and understanding of clinical research activity within an NHS organisation is essential as is experience in the process of writing research proposals and applying for grant funding.

DBS Checks

The charges are currently £27.20 for a standard check and £44.20 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for.
