Looking After Our People - Regional Retention Manager

There has never been a more thrilling time to join NHS England and Improvement and be based in the South East region. The newly published NHS People Plan sets out ambitious transformational plans to improve workforce experiences for all 1.3M people working in the NHS. You will be aware that our people experience constant pressures at work, and these have been especially challenging during COVID-19. If we are to keep our talented people, we know from evidence that our collaborative efforts need to focus on interventions that will improve their workplace experience. These include health and wellbeing, flexible and predictable working, learning & development and ensuring environments are truly inclusive and compassionate. As part of this high-profile national programme you will be instrumental in supporting delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan to ensure there are 50,000 more nurses in the NHS in England by September 2025.

We are looking for an experienced manager who can passionately and confidently use their fantastic communication skills to engage and collaborate with senior workforce colleagues. You will be authentic in your intent to model the People Plan values, demonstrating your leadership experience and ability to manage complex projects, operating at a fast pace within tight timeframes.
