As a result of continued rapid growth we are currently seeking an Automation Engineer for our Worldwide Operations Robotics System Integration team.

Your Responsibilities:
The Robotics Automation Engineer is a European role that requires traveling in order to support different projects located in Germany, Italy, Spain and France. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and documenting control solutions for robotics and material handling systems. The Robotics Automation Engineer will work autonomously in the field with different European stakeholders, internal and external, acting as single point of contact focused on controls for the project assigned. The engineer will work with the vendors and project managers to develop the ideal solution for the technology both onsite and remotely. This role will also provide proper training and support to the local Facility's Controls Technicians on device troubleshooting.
The successful Robotics Automation Engineer will:
· Be able to work in English (spoken and written)
· Prepare control specifications in order for technologies to be implemented
· Perform PLC control level issue diagnosis
· Follow change management process and develop ad-hoc PLC code change
· Provide detailed analysis and testing of existing and new engineering solutions and components
· Work in cross-functional team environment, to develop controls specification and training documentation for the Facilities Engineering team
· Take responsibility of incident follow-up, root cause analysis and documentation.
· Undertake industrial engineering design on existing and new material handling systems across our World Wide network
· Support commissioning of new automation elements
· Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety procedures. Be proactive in the raising of potential H&S issues and the development of personal safety awareness
· Use AutoCAD to review, develop and maintain electrical schematic and conveyor layout drawings
· Fully understand and ensure procedural adherence to industry operating standards such as the NEC and NFPA.
· Partner with different stakeholders in order to build effective relationships


· 3+ years of control system working experience in PLC based controls design, development, implementation and support.
· Experience with Siemens and/or Allen Bradley (A&B) PLC control level issue diagnosis
· Experience in dealing with material handling, flow and capacity
· Experience in industrial networking and communications
· Expertise with Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC processers and input/output modules
· Expertise with HMI systems, Industrial Networks, VFD's, Servo Controllers, etc.
· Expertise with Industrial control systems, both hardware and software
· Experience with 3 phase electrical systems
· Strong analytical skills
· A team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves and take initiative to lead projects and deliver results
· Self-motivated and customer-centric
· Experience with email and MS Excel
· Fluent in English
· Ability to travel up to 75%


· Advanced industrial engineering, project management and implementation experience
· 4 year degree in engineering, or degree in other related technical discipline
· Experience with, or desire to learn, the following:
· Robocontrollers, Microcontrollers, Robot Computers and SBCs, Robot Servo Controllers, PWM & Advanced Signal Driven DC Motor Controllers, Robot Stepper Motor Controllers
· Strong PC based control systems experience
· Familiarization with the electrical controls of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
