Job description

We help our clients stay ahead of the changes that impact their business. Equipped with the scale of a seamlessly connected global network, we're where they need us - delivering deep tax technical expertise, while providing the critical context to help make informed and compliant decisions that drive their operations forward. At a global and local level, we design best-in-class integrated tax and legal strategies that empower clients to move from complexity to execution.

Our expertise covers every conceivable area of taxation. Our tax experts proactively engage in the tax policy debate and are focused on leading views and new ideas. Your knowledge will help high-profile organisations, entrepreneurs and family businesses, understand complex rules and make informed decisions with significant impacts. Our people need to be flexible and ready to build strong relationships, networks and leadership skills.

People & Organisation (P&O)

In P&O you'll help some of the leading UK and international employers make the most of their biggest asset - their people. It's such a diverse area, you could work on projects helping business leaders define their HR strategy, through to advising clients on how to improve the effectiveness of their workforce. Or help senior executives understand their global personal tax obligations, to implementing cutting-edge technology in the HR space. You'll work on projects across all sectors of the economy, providing vital support to clients. And whatever you work on, you'll learn about employment tax risk, employment cost reduction and employer social responsibility.

Accounting Services

Our Accounting Services team (part of our Compliance Services team) is a market focused business providing outsourced accounting services to national and multinational corporations with a focus on helping them remain compliant and providing insights into their operations. Accounting Services has a varied and prestigious client base and works with various specialists in their own field which, combined with the importance placed on continuous technical training and personal development, provides an excellent opportunity for career development. As part of PwC, one of the largest global accounting firms, Accounting Services offers a challenging and exciting career path. Working within the Compliance Services team, you'll have the opportunity to work on high profile client assignments alongside staff across the wider Tax practice.

Corporate & Indirect Tax

In Corporate and Indirect Tax, you'll help clients - from the largest organisations to budding entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals - manage their tax risk, understand their obligations and comply with complex legislation. You'll tackle a broad range of work that includes multinational advisory projects, mergers and acquisitions advice, tax compliance and researching business issues that affect clients' tax affairs. You'll work with clients on matters critical to their business including interpreting developments in case law, the implications of moving into new territories or introducing new products. You could be involved in purely UK activities or global projects, working on more efficient internal processes or on a merger or acquisition. You could work as part of a number of specialist areas within Corporate and Indirect Tax.

Programme

A position on our School and College Leaver programme is one of the best ways to kickstart your career with PwC. PwC will provide you with support all the way. You'll earn a competitive salary, benefit from our excellent support networks and have the opportunity to continually progress your career. Just like our graduate joiners, you'll work on varied and challenging client and internal projects, which make a real difference to the world of business. You'll be coached by our people, who are experts in their field, and at the same time, thanks to our study support, you won't need to worry about paying for course and exam fees, textbooks or revision materials.

What you'll gain

We'll support you as you study for a Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB). This is a nationally recognised professional qualification with Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
