The Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation

Technology Risk and Management Oversight (TRMO) is a centralized global team with responsibility for supporting the Head of Technology in delivering business value from Technology and Digital in a consistent and transparent way. Its scope covers the following core Technology wide capabilities: Strategy, Operating Model, Oversight, KPIs & Analytics, Technology Risk & Resilience, Financial Management, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Learning & Development, Communications and delivery of cross-departmental Change Initiatives.

Purpose of the Role

This role is for a Senior Analyst to work within the EPDO function (Enterprise-wide Portfolio Data Oversight), which is part of Technology Risk Management Oversight Team.

The EPDO team is responsible for maintaining the enterprise wide Change Management Framework and providing guidance and compliance monitoring services across the change community. The team is also responsible for the monthly and quarterly CTB cost reporting processes, tools and MI dashboards.

The role requires a Project Management background with a strong understanding of portfolio and project management processes as we seek to define and implement stronger project reporting standards, adherence and data quality.

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for carrying out data maintenance activities to support the Clarity PPM tool in addition to assisting with wider EPDO processes and functions.

The role holder will assist with maintaining and developing change standards along with core data definitions to ensure consistent portfolio reporting at the enterprise level. The role will also ensure change managers are adhering to change standards and data quality requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with the stakeholders across the change delivery teams to ensure existing standards are adhered to and further develop the change standards based on the EPDO plan and ongoing feedback from the stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential to communicate effectively and appropriately with a range of stakeholders at all levels, and across different parts of the organisation.

The role requires close working with colleagues in Ireland, UK, India, China and Hong Kong offices, and as such the candidate may sometimes be required to be flexible in the hours they work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve Service Requests, Incidents and queries as per agreed SLA.
  • Act as an SME for Clarity Data Maintenance.
  • Able to communicate and report to the stakeholders and to ensure provided solutions are inline with other architectural streams
  • Drive automation of existing reporting views using Power BI.
  • Ensure EPDO processes are maintained.
  • Maintenance of existing change standards and corresponding procedures.
  • Standards adherence tracking with Stakeholders.
  • Audits / health checks of key initiatives to ensure standards adherence.
  • Work closely with various other teams within TRMO to provide SME input, test and champion new tools, processes and ways of working.

Essential skills
  • Excellent understanding of project management terms and concepts
  • An organised and structured way of working
  • Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal and relationship management skills at senior levels
  • Confident working with stakeholders at all levels across multiple business areas, globally
  • Ability to present data and information in a way that is meaningful and insightful to senior management
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Desirable Experience
  • Experienced user of Business Management and PPM tools, such as Clarity, JIRA, and Sharepoint or similar
  • PowerBI skills beneficial
  • Subject matter expertise in technology and operational finance and PPM processes

Experience and Qualifications
  • A strong Project management background with full understanding and working knowledge of change management processes and expected standards
  • Experience of working with change initiatives to deliver and embed new processes and tools into BAU (Business as Usual)
