Senior Content Designer - Fixed term until 31 March 2021
Citizens Advice is changing. For 80 years we’ve provided free, independent and confidential advice to help people solve their problems. Last year we helped 2.7 million people in person - face to face in our local offices, by phone and through web chat. There were also 43 million visits to our website by people looking for answers to their problems.
Most people come to us first online - so we’re changing how we use digital to make sure we meet their needs. This means using data and research to understand their problems, and giving practical steps to help solve them.
We make sure our advice is accessible, and helps people move forward. We’re also creative - thinking about how different formats and tools can best meet user needs.
We need a senior content designer to turn complex information into easy to use digital copy and tools.
You’ll work in a dedicated product team on energy advice. You’ll create tools and advice based on evidenced user needs. Alongside user researchers, designers and developers, you’ll design digital advice content to help people find a way forward.
You’ll be confident writing for a range of audiences and familiar using analytics to inform content development and validate usability. Most importantly, you’ll be a team player and committed to making sure that Citizens Advice’s digital content is the best it can be.
