Job Description

This position is based within FT Live, our live events arm of the FT.

  • Assisting in the launch and delivery of selected  FT Awards programme & core events
  • Researching background information, awards categories, nominators and judges
  • Researching and proposing speakers/topics for special projects/core events and liaison with editorial team
  • Co-ordinating awards meetings, liaising with judges, authors, shortlisted entrants, stakeholders etc
  • Creating, managing and tracking project timelines
  • Managing communications with speakers, judges, event partners as required by the Special Projects Director
  • Creating, co-ordinating and checking content for websites, brochures and marketing collateral


Ensuring the successful delivery of a key portfolio of events which uphold the FT brand in order to ensure 100% client satisfaction and exceed their expectations.

Working closely with Special Projects Director and Special Projects Executive on all SP portfolio.

Required Skills and Experience

Strong research and analytical skills

High standard of attention to detail.

Accurate proof reading and copy editing skills.

Highly organised and efficient time management

Ability to work on multiple projects and to tight deadlines.

Proactive and able to work under own initiative.

Entrepreneurial flair.

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint (Microsoft Office)

Confidence to forge internal and external relationships at a senior level both within the FT and with externally.

Ability to travel globally when required.  

An interest in the Current Affairs, Politics and the Arts. Good knowledge of business and global current affairs.  Experienced in content writing.
