Job Title - Senior Contract Manager
Salary - Up to £59,000 depending on experience plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Location - Slough
Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and safety conscious Senior Contract Manager to manage our Total Facilities Management services contract for a pharmaceutical facility in Slough, UK.
What you’ll do
Day-to-day communication with client representatives on-site.
Management of site team, ensuring all legal, corporate and duty-of-care responsibilities are met, including Safety, Health & Welfare of staff.
Lead a team of 60+ Veolia staff delivering the services on-site.
Ensure all plant under the control of Veolia is maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s specification/best practice.
Delegating, organising and coordinating all resources to ensure successful completion and implementation of activity/service.
Identification and filling of roles on the team when/if required.
Ensure that Veolia staff are trained to carry out their roles and to put in place appropriate development plans using the Veolia performance development process.
Technical and commercial evaluation of required sub-contracted services.
Management of sub-contracted services.
Weekly and or monthly reports of all activities on site.
Cost control and commercial contract management.
Financial Management and reporting of the contract activities to Veolia General Manager.
Deliver all Veolia site services within budget.
Prepare budget forecasts and track to plan for financial costing.
Familiarisation with relevant statutory acts pertaining to staff safety and welfare.
Familiarisation with relevant statutory acts pertaining to equipment function and status.
Attendance at relevant governance and technical meetings with the client
Ensure that all Veolia company procedures are adhered to and that quality standards are maintained at all times.
Establish and develop opportunities to diversify or increase contractual services to the client.
The experience you will need
Engineering degree or equivalent (mechanical or building services), with proven post-graduate experience, or
Trade qualification (National Craft Cert, City & Guilds or Equivalent), preferably mechanical or building services, with substantial previous (post apprenticeship) experience and with previous supervisory/line management experience, or
Marine qualification, with proven experience at sea.
Previous maintenance and troubleshooting experience across a range of equipment and services.
Previous supervisory/management experience in a cGMP environment.
Previous operating experience within a regulated environment.
Excellent PC Skills & ability to develop and deliver presentations at both client and internal levels.
Self-motivated with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good Computer Skills (Excel, Word etc).
Six Sigma qualification.
Knowledge and experience of working with a Quality Management System.
Knowledge or previous exposure to cGMP regulations.
Previous supervisory/management experience in a pharmaceutical utility environment.
A track-wise or similar system for quality action management.
Experience in an energy management role with the ability to demonstrate a clear history of savings achieved.
Experience and knowledge of industrial waste management.
Demonstrate an ability to motivate and drive a team in a continuous improvement environment.
Continuous Improvement techniques 5S/Kaizen/6 sigma/ FMEA.
