Citizens Advice offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in-person, for free. Through our national network of charities, we give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.

At this time of national crisis, your skills are needed more than ever. Citizens Advice are looking for a senior delivery manager to join our mission and help the most vulnerable.

In these unprecedented times, Citizens Advice are at the frontline of helping people to face the challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic. Between 9 March and 9 April, we helped 220,000 people with one-to-one advice over the phone, by email and webchat and our website saw 9 million views.

Our teams are working hard to provide the best advice for people in difficult situations. We’re responding rapidly to people’s changing needs, and helping those who need us most.

The Role

As a senior delivery manager at Citizens Advice, you’ll have deep knowledge and understanding of working in user-centered design teams, with extensive experience and expertise using a range of delivery methods, tools and techniques (both agile and other methodologies) to deliver a variety of projects/products within scope, on time and of a high quality.

You’ll play a leading role in the delivery team, as well as organisation-wide forums such as our Delivery Community of Practice by sharing expertise and knowledge and coaching and mentoring other members, acting as a central point of expertise.

You’ll have excellent facilitation skills, able to foster a feeling of safety and employ self-awareness, self-management and neutrality as needed, as well as designing and running meetings in a variety of contexts and for varied team maturity levels.

You’ll be an effective communicator, able to engage with and influence senior internal stakeholders to shape the agenda for delivery as a whole at Citizens Advice, supporting others to learn and adopt a user-centred mindset.

You’ll work with product managers, product designers, user researchers, service designers and developers in an agile environment. You’ll have access to the latest equipment needed to do your best work; including MacBooks, Google Suite, and software for remote and in-person facilitation.

We're looking for someone passionate about services for the most vulnerable and using those to help solve society’s most complex problems.

Our products, content and services will impact people’s everyday lives. It’s an exciting thing to be part of. We need you.

We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME and disabled people are currently under-represented throughout Citizens Advice.

We are a member of the race equality campaign at Business in the Community, the Prince’s responsible business network and are committed to improving employment opportunities for ethnic minorities across the UK. We also welcome applications from lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) and non-binary candidates.

We have made a positive commitment to employing disabled people and guarantee to interview all disabled candidates who meet the minimum essential criteria for the role as set out in role profiles.
