As the DevOps Engineerwithin Publicis Sapient, you will be working within an agile development process as well as being part of a team responsible for the design and implementation of application build, release, deployment and configuration activities.
Being part of the DevOps Engineering team, you will be able to adjust to constant business change; common types of changes include new requirements, evolving goals and strategies, and emerging technologies.
You will also be interacting, developing, engineering and communicating collaboratively at a technical level with clients, vendors, partners, and all levels of colleagues within Publicis Sapient.

Job Description
As the DevOps Engineerwithin Publicis Sapient, you will be working within an agile development process as well as being part of a team responsible for the design and implementation of application build, release, deployment and configuration activities.
Being part of the DevOps Engineering team, you will be able to adjust to constant business change; common types of changes include new requirements, evolving goals and strategies, and emerging technologies.
You will also be interacting, developing, engineering and communicating collaboratively at a technical level with clients, vendors, partners, and all levels of colleagues within Publicis Sapient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with client's IT organizations to establish DevOps strategy at an application level.
- Working closely with Senior DevOps Engineers & Manager - DevOps to deliver a new DevOps process across various client accounts.
- Working closely internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, prototyping, architecting, implementing/updating solutions, building and executing test plans, performing quality reviews, managing operations and triaging and fixing operational issues.
- Demonstrate proficiency in two or more of the following development languages: Bash, Python, Go, Groovy, will also consider Shell, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++.
- Awareness of working with cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
- A passion for code quality and an understanding of the entire DevOps tool chain from a quality perspective.
- Knowledge of automated package delivery tools such as Ansible, Chef or Terraform
- An understanding of Jenkins or Travis CI.
- Knowledge of thefollowing application build tools - Npm or Gulp AND Maven or Gradle.
- Awareness of the software build cycle.
- Understanding of security considerations and security tools used to integrate with the build pipeline covering OWASP Top 10.
- Drive to implement atrue modern DevOps culture.
- Basic infrastructure knowledge - Operating Systems, VM's, Containers, Proxy, Nginx.
- An understanding of PaaS and Container infrastructure, preferably Kubernetes or Cloud Foundry.
- Knowledge of build packs and how to access containers.
- Working knowledge of Junit and/or Jasmine non-functional, functional and unit test frameworks and tools.
- Understanding of application deployment orchestration tools such as UrbanCode deploy.
- Experience working with client's IT organization to establish DevOps strategy at an application level.
- Working knowledge of Tomcat and WebSphere application servers and Java containers.
- Presentation skills would be awesome!
