This is a key role in ensuring that HM Land Registry can efficiently operate and effectively utilise planning, budgeting and reporting tools to support decision-making by key stakeholders within Finance and across the business. The role is also involved in identifying and implementing process improvements that will benefit Finance and HM Land Registry as a whole.


Systems Management • Managing the availability of the planning, budgeting and reporting system and associated tools • Monitoring and reconciling scheduled data feeds and transfers between systems • Maintaining financial reports within the system • Maintaining and ensuring compliance with system change control policies and processes • Leading on resolving system issues • Managing appropriate user access to models and information held in the system and related access procedures for users Systems Development • Assessing the impact of functional updates and identifying resulting opportunities to improve processes • Liaising with colleagues over improvements to service levels and processes, promoting a culture of continuous improvement • Developing and testing models, considering user requirements and using appropriate change controls • Developing and improving reports and data visualisation, working collaboratively with key stakeholders User Support • Developing Model Owner knowledge of connections within and between Models. • Collaborating with users to develop and test reports Other duties • Participating in the enhancement, development and issue resolution of other financial systems as required • Working with colleagues to support other team initiatives as required #WeAreHMLR 6 HM Land Registry Candidate Information Pack Vacancy description (continued) Job Description Continued: Key role benefits The opportunity to work with colleagues in Finance and the wider business to develop tools and optimise their effectiveness. Technical Skills and qualifications (Desirable): • Accountancy knowledge or qualification Essential Experience Criteria: • Successfully working with budgeting and performance management software to meet management information and planning requirements • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders to deliver the optimum outcome for all parties Desirable Experience Criteria • Experience of supporting ERP cloud software, preferably Oracle Fusion • Experience of working with and creating data architectures • Experience of System Release Management Behaviours • Changing and Improving • Working Together • Managing a Quality Service Resource Management Staff N/A Status Full Time / Job Share Contract Type Permanent Additional requirements There may be a need to travel to other offices or to supplier sites, but this will not usually require overnight stays and will be in line with government advice.
