Front-End Engineer at Checkout.com:

Checkout.com is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer with expert React and JavaScript skills to join our Front-End Engineering team in Dubai. This role will take a key role in continuously improving our website, collaborating with various excellence-driven teams including Product (Brand and UX/UI) and Marketing. The Checkout.com Web team is responsible for acquiring new customers and retaining new customers by creating a dynamic, personalised web experience. The team uses the latest in front end technologies, user experience, and design.

In this role, you will be responsible for continually building and improving Checkout.com's front door while supporting the SEO and digital requirements, and marketing as a whole.

About You
    • Strong experience with React frameworks such as Next.js or Gatsby
    • Commanding grasp of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and
    • Demonstrated web performance profiling and optimization experience.
    • Experience with CSS/JS Animations Experience
    • Experience with is a plus
    • Ability to work in an Agile and high-paced environment
    • Not afraid to roll up the sleeves for any side projects when needed
    • Excellent eye for DesignKnowledge of headless CMS is beneficial
    • Passionate problem solver and out of the box thinker
    • Experience with test automation and test-driven development methodology
    • Fluency in English

    • Work as part of a cross functional team to help drive the development of
    • Passionate about writing clean code while using various best practices
    • Willingness to help others when needed
    • Driving best technology and software development practices into the team and wider organisation with passion and enthusiasm
    • Assisting business stakeholders in shaping, estimating and planning new requirements
    • Building interactive UI to improve UX across the board
    • Participating in regular showcases of new work to the product owners and business stakeholders
    • Striving for continuous improvement within the team
