This Senior Gifting Manager role is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead and drive a strategic Business Unit across Beauty & Personal Care. You will have full responsibility for Gifting, managing the P&L and motivating of a cross-functional team of talented and committed individuals.

Continuously evaluating and reviewing Unilever’s gifting portfolio
Understanding the different brand and developing a compelling narrative

1.Ownership of the Gifting P&L
Set growth targets and construct a framework within which those targets can be delivered
Develop joint business plans that are conducive to the Gifting strategy and targets
Promote net revenue management as an enabler to optimise brand management investment turnover
2. Lead the Gifting Team and motivate the extended, cross-functional team to share your ambition
Your immediate team consists of Gifting Brand, Pack Tech and Business Operations experts but you will also work closely with the Repack and Finance Team. You will:
Promote a one team culture and that will extend to Global and Local Brand teams and Procurement
Chair the monthly Gifting Country Category Business Teams meeting and focus on what needs to be done to deliver the plan
Nurture a can-do and continuous improvement environment and be the voice of reason and calm during periods of uncertainty and/or disruption
3. Continually develop a competitive Gifting Roadmap
Share a thorough understanding of the Gifting Shopper and how that differs from our typical consumers
Understand why Gifting is different and develop plans that both complement but also deliver on Brand jobs to be done.
Build a network of suppliers who share your ambition so that the planning process is efficient and cost-effective
Be the Gifting Expert and key point of contact for our customers your enthusiasm and understanding of Gifting will be infectiou
Seek additional support across the business for the activation of the Gifting strategy; Shopper and In-Store Marketing, budget for PR, integrated media support from Brands
Create an: Always-on-Gifting plan, working alongside the Business Development Team
Develop a Customer / Channel Plan that is supported by the Customer Development leadership team
Incorporate and drive sustainability into Gifting through initiatives such as zero single-use plastic, gifts that last, gifts made from recycled materials.
4. Make data driven decisions and develop tools turning information into insights
Strive to understand Gifting Performance within the broader business context,
Be intellectually curious and be out in-store often, online always and be the one who knows that understanding the why will create the insight that makes everybody else want to act upon
Simplify the planning process so that more is done right, first time
Create trackers that can be called upon to identify issues so that remedial steps can be quickly actioned
If corrective action cannot be taken, identify the gap and how it can be recovered elsewhere
5. Champion continuous improvement
Lead the cross-functional annual review and incorporate any viable suggestions that haven’t already been acted upon
Engage other functions or Global teams where necessary

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team of multi-functional experts. Candidates should also exhibit strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of turning insights into action, utilising their strong project management experience. The individual is expected to exercise judgment in coordinating and implementing a portfolio of projects to completion under tight deadlines.
