As our Senior Manager GCPArchitect, you'll be collaborating and mentoring multidisciplinary, global projects and the principal lead on the design and development of some of the latest cloud technologies around cloud architecture, infrastructure automation and network security.

By taking on this role, you will also be accountable for providing thought leadership, collaborating within technology teams creating enterprise scale solutions for our clients. On top of developing capabilities, clients, and domain skills; taking an active role in business development, project supervision and day to day team management/leadership.

Job Description

Interface with the client and senior project stakeholders to consult on matters relating to the design and implementation of the solution, drive discussions around risk mitigation, trade-offs and best practices.

Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert during the full software development life cycle from conception, design, implementation and testing to documentation and delivery.

Translate client business requirements into a technical design with little oversight.

Define technical tasks and estimates required to implement a design.

Design and
  • implement cloud infrastructure solutions for distributed systems and applications.
  • implement automation pipelines for deployment into Cloud Platform.
  • architect cloud migration or cloud native solutions.
  • hardening of virtual networks, firewalls, load balancers, and virtual machines.
Perform analysis of best practices and emerging concepts in Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, and Network Security.

Drive creation of reference architectures to continuously improve the quality and consistency of cloud infrastructure solutions.

Analyze and address risk factors in deliverables and communicates/propose risk preventions and reduction approaches for adoption while providing architecture, design and assessments.


Things we seek in you
  • You'll have a Cloud Infrastructure Engineering/DevOps background, where you have been architecting cloud native solutions.
  • Passionate about managing and growing teams and driving your team and the project from simple idea to production.
  • Hands on with designing and implementing cloud native solutionswith the emphasis on Network, Identify and Access Management, Programmable infrastructure, Event logging, Resource Monitoring and Secret Management.
  • Configuration management: Terraform, Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
  • Linux operating systems and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, GKE,Helm and/or AKS
  • CICD: Jenkins.
  • Programming/Coding skills: Bash, Java, Groovy or Python.
  • Storage, IAM, SDN (VPC and XPN).
  • Familiar with source control and build/dependency management system (Git, Maven, etc).
  • Appetite for learning new technologies
  • Curiosity - Bring fresh ideas to the team and wider firm be it new software or containerisation of existing infrastructure and projects
  • Strong awareness of security considerations and security tools used to integrate with the build pipeline covering OWASP top 10
  • Passionate about driving our clients to a true modern DevOps culture
