DESCRIPTION

AMZL EU Launch & Expansion is looking for a Senior Manager with a solid delivery record and experience to own and coordinate strategic and cross-functional projects. This role will require influencing business, engineering, real estate and construction teams across the company to prioritize projects which support the expansion of Amazon's Last Mile Fleet. This role will have direct oversight of program managers and our mission is to build the most efficient and optimal solution to enable the expansion of Amazon's last mile fleet including sustainable vehicles as part of our climate change commitments.

Please note that this role can be based in Luxembourg, UK, Spain, Italy, France or Germany.

Key responsibilities include:
· Partnering with key stakeholders to define program strategy and roadmap
· Launching programs and promoting engagement with stakeholders
· Addressing barriers through problem solving and coordination with stakeholders
· Partnering with other leaders to understand roadmap dependencies and agreeing prioritization
· Hire and guide a team of truly innovative talent, providing guidance, coaching and direction to achieve the vision
· Gaining support for your strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership
· Creating program goals and related metrics, track progress and coordinate through obstacles to achieve your goals
· Communicating performance, articulating root-cause analysis and linking to specific improvement areas
· Leading business planning processes

We seek a skilled leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver results. You must have the capability to create and present whitepapers for senior executives, and align roadmaps with Amazon's strategic goals. A key to influencing stakeholders is to have the ability to solve complex, technical problems with simple, innovative and practical solutions. Solid written and verbal communication skills are essential. As part of the leadership team, you will coordinate program management for exciting and confidential initiatives in the last mile organization. You will regularly interact with executive leadership and work with business teams to program, develop implementation, deployment and execution. You'll work in a exciting environment and will be required to supervise not only at the strategic level, but also day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains. As a multi-discipline leader, the buck will stop with you - you will work with stakeholders from operations, legal, business development, engineering, real estate and construction (amongst many more).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Business Program Management, or other technical field from an accredited university or 4+ years Amazon experience
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel is required, including use of lookups and pivot tables.
· Experience coordinating the implementation of large engineering projects and initiatives; experience collaborating with various groups (finance, HR, etc.) to complete projects on time and within budget
· Experience working with project management tools/software
· Ability and desire to travel 25% of the time
· Proven analytical skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up recommendations and develop business cases
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a exciting environment.
· Is an independent problem solver that can make high quality judgments and decisions quickly with good organization skills.
· Is detail-oriented with a proven ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.
· Excellent written, verbal, listening, communicating, and negotiating skills coupled with ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA Qualification from a reputable School
· Worked in foreign countries and has international experience.
· Fluent in English and at least one other language (Italian, Spanish or French)
· Lean/Six Sigma black belt certification or equivalent
