PMO - Program Management Officer, EU ATS OTD
Amazon's EU ATS (Amazon Transportation Services) OTD (Operations Talent Development) team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated person as ATS OTD PMO (Program Management Officer) to support and manage all of the major program initiatives across the EU ATS network. This role can be based virtually across the EU.
The role of EU ATS OTD PMO is a critical position and delivers huge impact both on the customer experience and on bottom line performance within the EU ATS OTD team.
You will play a critical role in conceptualizing and implementing strategy for capturing programs, categorizing the project types, which shape the future of our customers experience and the success of our overall business strategy. Filtering metrics and administrating information to easily understand and report the progress of all programs through their life cycle. This enables the Senior Management to see at a glance pulse on project health, ROI expectations, when additional support may be required to see a project through to completion.
Manage the administration and develop the PMO processes, which gathers and tracks information on the "Stage - Gate" process, allowing each project to be controlled effectively through the life cycle.
Work with EU OTD Business Partners and Global Program Managers on Operational Program Intake ideas, guiding and educating when required to ensure high standard are kept in the process. Ensure all stakeholders are involved in all projects when required, (HR, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, Safety & Security Manager, IT Manager) on project inputs and the broader Operations network to attain Amazon's Business Plan.

Responsibilities:

- Management a group of Project managers in the different EU ATS OTD business lines

· Responsible for the overall EU ATS OTD program management health, system, risks awareness, and project coordination for the different program stages.
· Interfacing with multiple stakeholder groups and subject matter experts to define approach, translate information inputs into project Stage - Gates and life cycle.
· Plan and Host business reviews for all projects through all the stages in the Project life cycle.
· Develop governance models and communication cadence across virtual working teams, stakeholders and executive sponsors (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
· Ensure coordination with appropriate peer functions and leaders are factored into requirements gathering, planning, and execution of strategic programs.
· Define a program management framework for defining goals, managing work cadence, and measuring impact that allows for consistency and scale.
· Generate and prepare regular reports on progress and status for team and sponsors - report impact regularly to internal stakeholders.
· Constantly innovate and improve programs and program management mechanisms, suggesting new ideas and best practices for improving the business and customer engagement.
· Drive continuous process improvement and make our customer experience better than ever.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Basic Qualifications ·
· Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, engineering, or other technical field (or higher, e.g. MBA) or 3+ years Amazon experience
· Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. ·
· Have a sincere bias for Ownership and Attention to detail, whilst being passionate about driving projects during challenging and complex situations. ·
· Have experience in leading large-scale projects ·
· Possess the ability to manage detail, identify blockers on behalf of the PMs if required. ·
· Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and problem-solving skills; able to articulate program recommendations, balance trade-offs, drive consensus and gain support by utilizing excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication. ·
· Thrive on change, inclined to operate with flexibility and commit the time required to get the job done. Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results ·
· Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization and to turn ideas into concrete action plans ·
· Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or other post-graduate degree ·
