About this role

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all business functions are in line with strategy and vision whilst delivering a seamless service to the wider Risk, Compliance and Assurance team. You will support the Head of RCA and the Leadership Team in the delivery of the RCA work including strategy, budgets, people and BAU and change projects across RCA. Organisation and productivity are two key drivers of this area, and the work often requires leaderships, tact and the ability to deliver difficult messages robustly.

The role holder will interact with the RCA Leadership Team and other leaders in BT with the authority of the Director of RCA and be expected to problem solve and provide workable solutions/options.

You'll have the following responsibilities
  • Managing the deliver of the agreed goals within RCA to ensure the RCA vision and strategy is achieved serving the entire community of ~140 people
  • Own the relationship with key CU business areas (HR, Finance, Procurement, Communications) to ensure delivery of RCA outputs (TLR, TLC, PIP)
  • Delivery of operational services to all RCA frontline functions
  • Lead key internal/external change requirements into the unit e.g. RCA Organisational Development, BWP, PIP savings initiatives etc.
  • Drive consistency and effectiveness in RCA reporting, outputs and core processes - working to remove duplication and/or address gaps as well as improve overall
  • Continually drive efficiencies and cost benefits back to the business through best practice sharing both internally and externally, and introducing innovative approaches
  • Ensure RCA services meet their customer needs by gathering feedback and working with colleagues in RCA to align and develop RCA services
  • Organise Leadership Team meetings and drive delivery of other RCA communications materials and meetings
  • Develop plans in alignment to strategic and tactical agendas, assist in developing and reviewing management information to drive delivery of priorities and advise on appropriate interventions

You'll have the following skills & experience
  • Experience in Operations Management ideally within a Risk, Compliance and Assurance environment
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement of core operational processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to communicate and the highest levels of management
  • Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of the value drivers of the business
  • Preferably knowledgeable in risk, compliance and assurance methodologies, standards setting and execution
  • Good understanding of support function activities and how they might best interact with RCA
