Role

Assist the PlanningManager to develop and monitor the programme, ensuring compliance with the SCSplanning standards and HS2 requirements to providea safe, efficient and cost effective programme meeting all required accessdates, milestones and key dates. Reporting to the Planning Manager.

The SeniorPlanner is responsible for:
  • Assistthe Planning Manager in development of the programme structure, Work BreakdownStructure (WBS), calendars and dates to be used by SCS, aligned with the CostBreak Down Structure (CBS) and Employer`s data dictionary.
  • Helpto develop cost and resource loaded programmes during ECI Stage One and Twowith submission in accordance with the required delivery milestones.
  • Ensuringthe programme meets all required access dates, milestones and key dates incompliance with the Employer's Planning requirements, contract data and worksinformation.
  • Contribute to assessment of programmerisks and programme risk analysis, including development and implementation ofmitigation measures.
  • Interfacingwith and provide planning data for other functional teams and stakeholdersincluding, but not limited to: BIM team, design team, estimation andconstruction and construction.
  • Workingwith the BIM team to integrate the construction programme and BIM model.
  • Progressmonitoring and regular updating of the programme, including forecasting ofpotential problem areas and proposing mitigation measures to the ProjectManager.
  • Cooperationwith the Project Controls Manager, Reporting Manager and Change Management inall related construction programme matters.
  • Liaisewith the client's construction planning team, stakeholders and with other workspackages to communicate the SCS Construction Planning approach and to ensuresharing of best practice, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Pursuingexcellence and continuous improvement of the SCS construction planningapproach, modification of standard processes and procedures for effective andcontinuously improvement.
  • Assessmentof change and PMI's and communication of impacts as required.
  • Appraisal,review and assessment of supply chain programmes and inclusion in mainprogramme as required.
  • Maintainshort and medium term programmes to ensure main programme objectives are met.

Ihre Qualifikationen

RequiredQualifications & Skills
  • Degree in civil engineering or an appropriate professional qualification
  • Prior experience in planning function in civil engineering projects
  • Knowledge of the development and implementation of asset structures, planning standards, WBS and planning processes.
  • Competence in Primavera P6 and Tilos
  • Knowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk Management
  • Strong communication skills
