About the role:

Ankorstore is a fast growing company that aims to be the best way for retailers to find the best brands and products to sell in their shops.
The biggest pain point that retailers have is to find the right products for their shops. We want to be the best way to solve this need for them. For that, we need an amazing product built by a group of smart and creative Product Managers, Software Engineers, Product Designers, Analysts, Product Marketing Managers, and User Researchers

As the Senior Product Manager for search & recos, your responsibilities will include:

• Improve search success rate & search user satisfaction drastically
• Build the right recommendation architecture & models, so they can be used wherever needed, and bring measurable impact on users' conversion rate

To do so you will need to

• Find the right performance metrics and test framework, both for search & recos
• Mix quantitative and qualitative feedbacks to improve search & recos relevancy for users
• Work with an engineering squad & data scientists to continuously improve the value created from our search bar & recommendations
• Work with several teams, to understand their needs for recommendations models...
• ... while being the voice of customer when it comes to recos: you should define what is a "good recommendation engine" and use cases that matter for customers

As the Senior Product Manager of this product area, you will work closely with the Software Engineers and Product Designers in your team, and synchronise with business partners across Ankorstore such as our product marketing, operations, and sales teams.

The experience we require:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, working with an engineering squads
• Experience in search and/or recos is mandatory
• Experience working with algorithms. You demonstrated you can use algorithms in a pragmatic way to generate meaningful business value
• Have an analytical mind, looking to find the core of a problem. Proficiency in SQL or Python is a strong plus.
• Proficient spoken/written English skills, as English is the work language
• Ability to prioritize work based on impact and cost while considering the company strategy and overall vision
• Experience working in a cross-functional team of software engineers and product designers

Other qualities that would add value:

• Experience in e-commerce companies or early startups to scale ups are preferred
• Experience in marketplace
• Entrepreneurial mindset
