About the role

Checkout.com is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Vault product team, based in our London office. Our passion is to change the world of online payments and the Product team sits at the heart of achieving our ambitious vision and goals.

The Vault team is leading the charge in building a one stop shop for merchants to securely tokenize, store, update and share their customers' sensitive payment information, so they can minimise PCI burden and get the most out of their payment information. It plays a critical role in the Checkout.com value proposition both by simplifying our merchants security requirements and helping optimise their payment processing performance.

You will report to our Product Lead for the Client Payments Platform product group and work closely with our engineers, delivery and business stakeholders to help shape the future of online payments. Acting as an important bridge between these stakeholders, you will understand desired outcomes for our clients, elicit requirements and then translate them into coherent functionalities that can be implemented for our innovative and groundbreaking products. We work in an agile and very dynamic environment, requiring you to be flexible and adaptable.

Key responsibilities
    • Be the core advocate for the team and product with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Lead the strategy, vision and roadmap for the team from inception to delivery together with the Vault's Engineering Lead
    • Collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements, align expectations and effectively prioritise the product roadmap to unlock the most value for our customers
    • Gain a deep understanding of Checkout.com's customers as well as staying on top of industry trends to help inform the strategic vision of the product
    • Lead the Vault's commercial enablement to empower our business stakeholders to sell the Vault product with confidence
    • Work with Engineering and Delivery to deliver holistic value-adding solutions, identifying and managing delivery risks, whilst ensuring alignment with cross-team dependencies
    • Communicate product and process changes to stakeholders across the business and be the subject matter expert for the Vault

About You
    • 4+ years hands-on Product Manager experience in a fast-paced Technology start-up
    • A strong advocate of people development, with proven experience in a coaching or mentorship capacity
    • Ability to work under pressure, balance multiple priorities and consistently meet tight deadlines
    • Superb communication skills, ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to drive outcomes
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proven ability to work with and become a subject matter expert in a complex product
    • Aspiration to grow your product management skills within a fast-paced tech startup
    • Worked in an agile environment
    • Understands the FinTech market - preferably Payments
    • Avid reader of all technology publications and blogs
    • Degree Educated
    • Fluency in English
