Amazon shipping offers Amazon's logistic capabilities as a product and service. Amazon Shipping's first customers are sellers in the UK, offering to ship their domestic volume using our delivery network.

Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an experienced leader to join the Program and Operations team. You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting large, complex cross functional programs and will have a true hands-on approach, solid program management and pragmatical skills, and be an effective communicator.

You will be part of the core team that will be coordinating the Amazon Shipping business and operations across all legs of the supply chain (first mile, middle mile and last mile). You will also be coordinating the development of our operational product to deliver a world class customer experience, and the design and implementation of new operating solutions to enable the delivery of strategic targets (service, growth, cost).

You will have a true hands-on approach, operational inclination, solid leadership skills and the ability to build and leverage relationships across a wide stakeholder group to generate creative solutions to industry level strategic problems. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership (Directors, VPs), you need to be comfortable communicating robustly at that level whilst also working directly with various functional teams and team members at all levels of the organization across the Amazon business.

Responsibilities:
· Coordinate programs in the Shipper and Ops capabilities team for Amazon Shipping, and partner with planning, operations and business teams.
· Improve key operational metrics by building new processes and partnering with the Ops teams.
· Conceptualize and build new Ops capabilities such as Direct Injections, Loose Loading and Pre-segregation.
· Develop and launch new commingling opportunities in the pick-up space with other volume flows to reduce FM cost.
· Build the Non-Con volume flow strategy for the Amazon Shipping network, including working with Pricing and Process Engineering.
· Develop granular metrics to monitor and track pick-up experience for the Amazon Shipping business, along with bucket reports on where opportunities for improvements are.
· Act as the SME in Amazon Shipping Operations defining product development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Business or related fields
· Experience of working within logistics, transportation or parcels environment.
· Experience in supply chain, performance management or program management.
· Customer focus and professional demeanor.
· Organizational skill and an operations mindset.
· An ability and interest in working in a exciting and rapidly-changing environment.
· A work ethic based on a solid desire to exceed expectations.
· Experience coordinating and interacting with cross-functional teams.
· Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
· Solid presentation skills.
· People management experience.
· Ability to travel in the EU.
· Fluent in written and spoken English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master's Degree in: Supply Chain Management or Operations Research.
· 5+ years' experience in supply chain, manufacturing, transportation and/or distribution environments.
· Experience of change management/growth environments.
· Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, Tableau and SQL.
