With customers across all 27 European states, offering millions of products and a long term vision to allow every consumer to find anything they want to buy online. The success of Amazon depends on its providing high-quality customer service. Operations are at the heart of the Amazon customer experience, delivering hundreds of thousands of items each day and fulfilling customer orders from all over the world.
Amazon's Europe Operations Employee Relations (ER) team is a tight-knit team of ER professionals, including former HR, operational and legal leaders, responsible for creating and executing strategies and programs to reduce business risk and improve associate experience. The EU Ops ER team went through significant growth and change in the past 18 months to build the ER support model to all Amazon Operations business lines across Europe and will continue to develop to scale with the business.
We are now looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our team as the Senior Program Manager, Employee Relations EU Ops, to join our ER leadership team. From day one, the Sr Program Manager will have an immediate impact on the team productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and aligning objectives between departments.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in program management, with a special focus on cross-functional project management, interdepartmental collaboration, and communication.
This is a full-time position that may require travel, up to 25% of the time over the course of the year to various Ops locations. The role reports to the EU Ops ER Director.
Core responsibilities
· Lead the functional strategic planning process and run the annual budget cycle process.
· Provide decision support, insights and recommendations through data gathering, information analysing.
· Provide coordination, oversight, guidance and management of high-level projects and programs, including monitoring progress toward meeting goals.
· Pulling together and managing agile project teams, independently scope, plan, execute and support projects that do not fit neatly within the organizational chart or fall between departmental areas of responsibility.
· Act as a trusted advisor to enable the ER Leadership Team to channel energy and focus optimally in the pursuit of company and functional goals.
· Lead the design, project manage the preparation and facilitate effective use of functional meetings such as monthly reviews, all hands, and off sites
· Coordinate and drive effective cadence of functional operating meetings, tracking meeting follow-ups and high priority initiatives.
· Manage internal change-management and organizational effectiveness projects
· Develop and implement process improvements to optimize workflows and functional operations.
· Create, project manage and draft communications to inform ER team's stakeholders of priorities, activities and results, including internal reports, pitch decks and presentations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess a strong track record in Program Management within an international, fast paced and customer driven environment. The ideal candidate will be degree qualified and will have:
· 7+ years of Program/Project Management Experience; Exceptional project and program management skills; can teach and coach these skills in others but also acts as a productive hands-on PM
· System thinking and strong analytical skills; cannot only work with data but can identity root causes, recognize patterns, and solve complex problems
· Fluency in English, both verbally and written communication, including report writing skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing skills
· Savvy with technology and technologists; early-adopter of technology, and puts technology to work for them to more efficiently manage programs and projects
· Must be able to travel 25%, as necessary

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 10+ years of Program/Project Management Experience
· Project management certifications (PMP, Prince 2, other)
· Advanced degree in Human Resources or Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Communications, Marketing, Strategic Communications
· Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Lean Certification
· Familiarity and expertise with content creation tools, including blogs, wiki, video
· Strong across-the-board functional HR knowledge including employee and labor relations, compensation/total rewards, talent management, performance management, compliance, and organization design and development
