We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to drive the cost out portfolio for EU Transportation - affecting the biggest logistics cost base in EU. The role manages 100+ projects spanning all EU markets, dozens of commercial carriers, 100s of nodes in the Amazon EU network and 10+ teams. You need to be able to lead informally, you need to be able to drive and improve the annual ideation process with country teams, you need to be able to identify ideas that can be benchmarked from other regions (North America, India, Japan..). You need to be able to work effectively with the Finance function to drive the monthly performance reviews. You need to be able to communicate clearly at senior executive level and you need to lead the organization to meet targets if we fall behind during the year. You need to have deep logistics understanding including trade-offs between competing objectives (speed, cost and delivery precision). You need excellent ability to assess opportunities quickly and problem solve and drive actions.
Additionally, as a Senior Program Manager you will also drive some of the projects in the portfolio on your own. Key objectives include:
· Build and ensure execution of a portfolio of high-impact initiatives, both from a customer experience and a financial perspective, across all supply chain and transportation topics and teams in Europe
· Make sure EU Transportation delivers the cost savings targets
· Drive the agenda of senior leadership and make sure the organization addresses the highest-impact topics, appropriately balancing short-term gains with long-term goals
· Ensure transparent and consistent reporting of status, progress, impact, and risks; ensure appropriate action is taken to maximize impact and mitigate risks
· Provide analytical support to analyze project performance, assess impact, and derive clear recommendations for business actions
· Manage all stakeholders across Amazon's operations teams in Europe to ensure constructive collaboration, and align with tech teams globally to ensure required tech support
· Develop in-depth understanding of processes, tools, data, and teams involved; identify gaps (or overlaps) and opportunities, and initiate high-impact projects based on analyses
· Drive one or a few of your own projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
· Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar related discipline
· 10+ years of significant work experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally in project management or consulting, logistics, or manufacturing
· In depth understanding of Logistics, Warehousing and Supply Chain
· Ability to develop creative and scalable solutions independently, and drive them from ideation to successful completion; results oriented; "self starter"
· Ability to lead others and help drive clear decisions without being political
· Strong analytic skills (ability to drive own analyses and to quickly interpret others' analyses)
· Strong oral and written communication skills - able to communicate effectively with senior management, tech teams and international stakeholders
· High ability to deal with ambiguity, to effectively prioritize, to multitask and to work with tight deadlines in fast-paced environment
· Experience in identifying root causes of problems and necessary actions to eliminate them
· Above average Business fluency in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Track record of managing $100MM+ cost out portfolio
· Proven Program Management experience in Logistics / Transportation
· Further European languages (Spanish, French, Italian or German)
· Leadership experience with direct reporting team
