The Chemical Safety and Compliance (CSC) program is a PARS initiative aimed at protecting the health of associates, supply chain partners, and customers by identifying all hazardous chemical products in our network and gathering appropriate documentation and data to ensure safe handling, storage, transport, use, and disposal. The CSC team is looking for a program manager to join our team and coordinate our efforts to automate the collection of hazardous goods safety and compliance documentation from our selling partners. This position is located in our EU headquarters in Luxembourg.

In this cross-functional role, you will define and orchestrate projects to develop best-in-class collection processes and systems as well as seek opportunities for continuous improvement. You will work closely with and influence Amazon technology, legal, safety, compliance, and business teams around the world. The right candidate will possess a solid understanding of software platform technologies, great judgment, and instincts in decision-making. They will have a keen eye for detail and quality, work well with ambiguity, be curious and desire to learn, and be a determined self-starter who excels at decision-making and follow through. The selected candidate will be a member of the CSC leadership team representing stakeholder interests and participating in product, process, and technology roadmap discussions. They will be an active contributor to the broader PARS compliance effort by identifying risk factors, supporting regulatory engagement, and determining program prioritization and direction. They will assist in developing CSCs global solutions and processes while supporting the ongoing operations of the CSC program in our rapidly growing and evolving business. Key responsibilities include:
· Coordinate initiatives across multiple teams to achieve business goals
· Advance scalable business solutions which ensure compliance with local and global regulations
· Provide effective written and verbal updates on the initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders
· Continuously identify and communicate improvement opportunities
· Create and monitor business metrics to track compliance and process effectiveness
· Own relationship with remote teams ensuring work accuracy, timeliness, and program improvements
· Direct and support tech and non-tech CSC projects that scale by leveraging technology to keep pace with Amazon's business growth and support customer experience tenets
· Support new business development related to chemicals
· Handle metrics and reporting activities
· Identify and follow-up on regulatory changes
· Actively seek cross-regional and cross-functional coordination opportunities that improve safety, compliance and customer experience

· Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, EHS or equivalent
· At least 5 years of proven experience in a program management role
· Proven history of project management with project deliverables where improvement is measurable
· Experience overseeing cross-functional teams
· Experience driving process improvement with technology
· Accomplished range of skills from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
· Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team, including adherence to core values and progressive corporate culture
· Professional organizational skills, ability to work autonomously with limited/no supervision
· Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
· Ability to travel internationally
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Fluent in English, both oral and written


· Knowledge of data warehouse and SQL
· Knowledge of French, German, Spanish and/or Italian
· Experience with chemical regulations such as GHS, REACH, TSCA, OSHA, WHMIS, Pesticides
· In-depth knowledge and practical skills in applying Lean Six Sigma (LSS) philosophy and methodology.
