DESCRIPTION

The OpsTech IT deployment teams provides deployment, program, and portfolio management implementation support for new site launches and lifecycle management for Amazon businesses globally. The team collaborates across IT to dive deep, execute deployment strategies, and manage risks for each program to deliver them at scale. The charter also includes new product certification, intake process, and engagement management to better integrate with product teams across customers, bringing efficiencies, providing transparent updates, and providing proactive support.
The ideal candidate will be an analytical, data driven Program Manager, for OpsTech IT Deployment team reporting into the Lifecycle program manager. The Lifecycle team executes network, hardware and software lifecycle programs to keep the Amazon FC IT assets secure, supported and to global standards while introducing innovation to reduce total cost of ownership to the business. We partner with engineering, capital planning, supply chain, RAD and local IT to drive initiatives for end of life/support items, emergent requests; intake on new product certifications and customer requests through the IT intake process.
· You will be deploying for a rapidly growing global IT topology infrastructure portfolio
· You will be deploying global, large scale technical programs involving replacement and upgrades to end of life networks, servers, wireless devices, access points, switches, scanners, and new products and services.
· To be successful you will be highly engaged with engineering teams and OpsTech IT field resources.
· You will be partnering at all levels of the planning and execution phases of the program including: technical scoping, milestone and resource planning, technical risk assessment and mitigation and managing all stakeholder communications.
· Working knowledge with IT networks, hardware and software is required.
· You will partner closely with support teams and IT leaders that perform both remote and onsite tasks, along with ensuring the proper test plans, documentation, policy development and deployment procedures are in place at scale.
· You will be tracking using a project management portfolio tool, CA PPM
This role will require 25-50% domestic travel.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university OR Tech degree with 5+ years field experience.
· Eight + years of experience managing large global IT projects from initiation to closure.
· Experience with core IT infrastructure; network, hardware, software and service concepts.
· Demonstrated ability to prioritizing and managing multiple programs and responsibilities.
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity, and work independently with 2+ engineering team(s) to successfully deliver cross-functional projects that are high quality (e.g., secure, testable, maintainable, low-defects, etc.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Intermediate-level knowledge in one or more of the following: LAN, WAN, Wireless, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Low voltage data cabling, data facilities technologies, or mobile devices.
· Site launch experience of IT infrastructure (WLAN, LAN, end user equipment) in retail, distribution, logistics or similar.
· Understanding of IT asset procurement and material planning
· Clarity PPM portfolio management software skill
· Proven track record building detailed WBS, contingency plans, deployment plans, issue/risk plan and communication.
· Exemplary communication skills (oral and written) in English to facilitate and manage conflict, escalations, negotiating compromise and influencing others.
· Exercise the ability to partner with IT technical managers to secure resources, scope technical efforts, set project priorities, milestones, and drive delivery to meet a deadline or find ways to accelerate delivery by clearing blockers and escalating when appropriate.
· Improve team processes that accelerate innovation, reduce costs, and/or improve quality.
