Unilever Professional focuses on selling home care products in professional cleaning channels like hotels, hospitals and commercial laundries. It is managed as a stand-alone business unit.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Leader / R+D Innovation manager with the passion, business acumen, strategic thinking and technical product knowledge needed to shape and deliver the product innovations to underpin our HC professional business growth plans.


For Professional products performance, convenience and value are key.

As Unilever Professional Technical Project Leader you will be responsible the global R+D program for Home Care Professional. This includes the creation of the innovation roadmap and delivering differentiated products to market across the HC categories (Home and Hygiene, Laundry FMCG products)

You will build understanding of the customer, the operator, their environment and their business needs and translate that into designs, technology and experiences to deliver high performance cleaning with less impact on the planet and cleaners.


  • Partner with brand, customer and supply chain teams to create a disruptive, performance driven innovation strategy for HC professional -

  • Define the underpinning technology roadmap to drive business growth through innovation launches –

  • Drive clean future strategy for professional

  • Lead technical elements of complex innovation projects from idea to market, which will include technologies from across the HC portfolio as well as our partner organisations. You will lead the creation and adaption of formulation and packaging for launch in our Professional brands.

  • Support innovation launches with compelling claims and content to bring the technology to life for our users

  • Lead agile, cross functional R+D team



  • Proven track record leading product development and innovation projects on global brands, experience within Home Care / FMCG product development and knowledge of home care formulations are benefits
