Senior Scheme Pricing and Interchange Analyst at Checkout.com:

Checkout.com is actively seeking an ambitious and talented Senior Scheme Pricing and Interchange Analyst with previous experience in the interchange and scheme fees domain to join our growing Finance team.

The Scheme Pricing and Interchange team serves as Checkout.com subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders on interchange and scheme fees business knowledge by collaborating cross-functionally with multiple teams including Commercial, Partnership, Product and Marketing to provide deep analytical expertise and consultative guidance (feasibility studies, impact analysis and recommendations).

The Senior Scheme Pricing and Interchange Analyst will support the team on interchange and scheme fees related analyses, development, implementation and reporting. You will act as an important bridge between Finance and Product/Technology to articulate and translate business requirements into coherent functionalities that can be easily implemented in Checkout.com pricing engine. You must be a team player when it comes to getting the job done and assisting and guiding junior team members with routine queries, whilst maintaining accuracy and quality of output.

About You
    • 1-3 years of experience in the Interchange and Scheme Pricing domain
    • Good understanding of Card Schemes and Payments Processing
    • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with multidisciplinary stakeholders
    • Ability to quickly grasp complex topics
    • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
    • Flexible, adaptable and willing to maintain knowledge and skills with an emphasis on continuous learning about new trends
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and with remote teams
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines in an evolving environment and sometimes shifting priorities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel required
    • Experience with SQL server and BI tools is a plus
    • Fluency in English
    • A bachelor's degree and other relevant specialised professional qualifications or training

What you will be doing
    • Review interchange and scheme fees updates from Card Schemes and other acquiring channels
    • Interact with Card Schemes representatives on interchange and scheme fees research or inquiries
    • Translate upcoming interchange and scheme fees updates into business requirements and implement these in Checkout.com pricing engine accurately and within deadline
    • Coordinate with Product and Technology on product or technical requirements relating to interchange and scheme fees updates implementation
    • Collect, understand and convey interchange and scheme pricing business requirements for given projects (new features, product launches, global expansion)
    • Assist with the building of interchange and scheme pricing tools, documents and education materials
    • Perform analyses to identify cost optimisation opportunities for merchants and Checkout.com
    • Review and promptly attend to requests through Checkout.com ticketing system
    • Assist with training new joiners on tasks and internal tools, and with the preliminary review of outputs from analysts in the team
    • Help review, optimise and document processes
    • Work closely with the Commercial Finance and Central Finance teams to streamline processes, review and action on recommendations regarding interchange and scheme fees billing reconciliation
    • Support the Scheme Pricing and Interchange Manager with ad-hoc tasks
