Senior Software Engineer at :

Exposed to the entire software development lifecycle, you will work on the specification, design, coding, testing and deployment of various solutions within a modern cloud (AWS) environment, as well as mentoring new engineers.

The ideal candidate is curious and spirited, lives and breathes Agile and the DevOps philosophy and is passionate about working in a team which focuses on building platforms for other engineering teams.

The FinCrime team is responsible for ensuring ongoing financial crime compliance, and the mitigation of associated risk, across the suite of products. The team works closely with both Business and Product stakeholders, utilising leading technology and streamlining processes both for internal stakeholders and our Merchants to improve operational efficiencies at scale. This team also works closely with external providers, managing key relationships and optimising provider

About You:
    • Passionate about researching new technologies, trying them out and evaluating use-cases
    • Solid experience in Software Development, Design and Architecture
    • Strong framework knowledge (e.g. .NET Core, Spring, Ktor)
    • Excellent practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
    • Solid understanding of communication architectural styles such as REST, GraphQL, gRPC, message queues
    • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL
    • Experience with microservices, distributed systems, serverless
    • Experience with Unit and Integration testing
    • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows
    • Cloud experience (we use AWS)
    • Excellent communication skills, ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams
    • Fluent in English and one of C#/Java/Kotlin (other similar languages considered)

What You Will Be Doing:
    • Design, develop and maintain brand new platform services to help other teams
    • Investigate new tech and evaluate whether we can use it to provide value for our engineering teams
    • Try to improve the developer experience of our engineering teams by evaluating feedback
    • Collaborate with globally distributed and multidisciplinary teams
    • Assist in requirements identification and in producing specifications
    • Create and maintain a development environment for efficient testing and integration
    • Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation
    • Contribute and adhere to coding standards, best practices, and procedures
    • Mentor teammates
