This role entails…
To contribute to the strategy and vision for user experience and design projects across the full range of platforms and to assist in leading and mentoring the team to deliver against it. Ensuring ITV products embrace the values of its new brand, fulfill a genuine user need, and creates a great experience that our viewers will want to revisit time and time again.
Alongside the Head of Experience and Lead Experience & UI Designer, to implement a user-centered design process within the UX team and champion the benefits of this within the online team culture.
As a lead you will build up the expertise in the team. Encouraging and training people to use new tools and create a culture of user-centric design.
Working closely with the Head of UX and UI Design, Product & the Team to create great experiences. Making sure that the User has a satisfying experience no matter how they interact with ITV and its services.
I truly believe in taking ownership of all aspects of design. I enjoy working in a collaborative environment and would encourage the team to share things that they are excited about within the industry.
Shouting out about what the team does to the larger organisation and promote the team externally through social media and events.
Some Key Responsibilities:

Respond and adapt user experiences to reflect evolving user preferences and technologies. Identifying prospects for commercial opportunities based on industry trends

Work with UX&D team to deliver innovative user-centered design solutions, ensuring quality, usability by the broadest cross-section of the audience and adherence to ITV design guidelines

Work with ITV colleagues, to define requirements, manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress to relevant parties

Build good partnerships with design counterparts across ITV and external partners to promote UX&D, ensuring a consistent approach to design and that its output is viewed as a leading innovator by the creative industry and audience

Act as a mentor within the UX&D team, helping to cultivate creativity and guide less experienced staff in best user experience design practices

Participate in the recruitment of mid-weight and junior designers
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:
-
Experience in a blue-chip or equivalent company
-
Experience in working on a range of different types of multi-platform projects
-
Experience in giving excellent presentations
-
Experience in running and facilitating multidisciplinary design workshops

A portfolio that demonstrates your experience as a UX Designer and the user centered design process
