About Shared Services

Our Shared Services team deliver specialist processes that have a direct impact on the performance of Network Rail, our customers and suppliers. These services include payroll, accounts, finance, controls and compliance, reporting, recruitment and helpdesk support.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for Credit controllers / Collecting Agents to join the Collections team in Shared Services. Our Shared Services Administrators are responsible for contacting customers that have fallen into arrears to collect payments and negotiate repayment plans where appropriate. You will demonstrate the ability to remain calm, focused and professional under pressure.

The collections team are responsible for the collection of high value debt. Our collection team is operated on a rota basis therefore candidates should be flexible to work between the hours of 8am and 5pm. The team of circa 15 Shared Services Administrators that are responsible for to ensure robust debt recovery of high value and high transactional aged debt in addition to complex problem solving.

You will deliver a high standard of customer service to various internal and external Network Rail Shared Services customers in line with our policy and regulations. Having the ability to thrive in a busy, customer orientated environment is a must, as you will be dealing with hundreds of different customers, enjoying the challenges and rewards from delivering a right first-time level of service.

About the role (External)

What skills & experience will you'll need to succeed?

• Great attention to detail and accuracy - delivering quality administrative outputs to prevent rework and compliance to the administration of internal processes.

• Excellent Excel skills - proficiency with data manipulation, filters, pivot tables, V-lookups and the ability to reference data from one workbook to another. You will also use excel to analyse complex data sets and produce reports.

• Confident communicator - you'll be dealing with queries from external stakeholders and will monitor a shared inbox. You'll need good written and verbal skills: concise, clear and articulate.

• Organisation and prioritisation - you will have to complete tasks within specified timeframes and be used to KPI's and SLA's.

What could help set you apart?

• Experience within a shared services environment

• Knowledge as the track access contract

• Knowledge of Oracle

• Intermediate Excel skills and knowledge

• Previous experience in Debt Collection

Salary: £17,000 - £22,500 per annum

Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract (Ending December 2021)
