The Partnership of East London Co-operatives (PELC) Ltd is a not-for-profit social enterprise. We provide a range of NHS healthcare services including, GP Out of Hours and Urgent Treatment services to over 1.1 million patients in the Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Havering and West Essex areas to meet the needs of the community. PELC is currently recruiting to the post ofShift Managerand is looking for focussed, motivated and reliable individuals to oversee the successful delivery of Urgent Care, NHS 111 and GP Out Of Hours services.

This role is key to the successful delivery of high-quality service to PELC's patients.

You will have direct responsibility for the supervision of a multi-disciplinary team of frontline staff and overseeing service delivery at various locations from a computerised call-centre base, which operates over a 24 hour period. You will have responsibility for successfully ensuring real-time operational, clinical and quality targets are met and communicating with silver and gold on-call managers.

You should have experience of working in a supervisory role and it would be desirable if this was gained in a call centre environment. You must have the ability to work under pressure, plan too strict deadlines and deal effectively with situations that require tact. Consequently, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential including computer literacy.

Due to the nature of the service, a commitment to working flexible hours is needed and shifts are on a rolling rota covering a 24/7 period including some nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
