Job Title - Shift Team Leader
Salary - £50,452 per annum plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Location - Veolia, Four Ashes, Energy Recovery Facility
Hours - 40 hours per week, 12 Hour Shift Pattern 2 Days 2 Nights, includes weekends and Public Holidays (Which are built into the shift rota)
What you will do:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Team Leader at Veolia’s Four Ashes ERF. The Shift Team Leader will have ideally completed a recognised Engineering Qualification. The Shift Team Leader will have experience of working in power generation or with steam raising plant.
The Shift Team Leader will be responsible for;
Ensuring compliance with all aspects of the site Environmental Permits.
Operate / Monitor plant from a Central Control Room.
Supervise and deploy manpower as appropriate to ensure cost-effective, safe and efficient operation of all activities on site.
Provide technical supervision and assistance where necessary for company and contract staff engaged in work at the ERF.
Provide effective training and monitoring of shift staff.
Provide effective administration and application of safe systems of work and Health and Safety policies.
Liaise with other companies’ staff as required to provide efficient work scheduling and planning to ensure minimum turnaround times during plant outages.
The experience you will need:
Experience of working in power generation or with steam raising plant
Experience as a Senior Authorised Person
Experience leading a team
Shift work in a continuous process operation
Good understanding of the environmental aspects of the role.
Completed a recognised Engineering Qualification/Operational Training course
Waste incineration experience
Experience working on steam generating equipment
Strong health & safety awareness
Good understanding of environmental and safety legislation
