The opportunity

Project: This is an infrastructure rail project with an approximate value of £1.4bn

The role will own, manage, and administer the site induction process for the station integrated project team and take the lead on induction-related improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Being the central point of contact for site inductions at the project site.
  • Managing and coordinating activities related to the site induction process from request through to site access granted, covering but not limited to:
  • Site induction email inbox management;
  • Communication with sub-contractors;
  • Conducting right to work and role competency checks to ensure that new staff meet relevant requirements;
  • Liaising with appropriate healthcare providers to verify health check compliance.
  • Manage the site induction calendar and liaise with presenters to confirm attendance and that new starters have passed the site induction test.
  • Conducting regular checks of the works information (WI) documents to ensure that requirements relevant to site inductions are being captured and actioned. Ensuring that changes are communicated through SWI's.
  • Conducting regular checks with the delivery package teams to ensure that site-specific inductions (SSI's) are kept up-to-date and reflect each site's current layout and activity.
  • Communicating and managing the implementation of new site induction-related initiatives (e.g., the Biosite Passporting system).
  • Developing further the site management approach about site inductions site offboarding process, audit of existing site access and liaison with unions amongst other activities.
  • Owning and managing the site induction budget and raise requisitions for necessary expenditure.
About you

You have construction qualifications i.e., valid CSCS card and others. You have experience in performing administrative tasks in a project environment, ideally running or supporting an induction/onboarding process. You are willing to learn to use new IT systems to input data relating to project staff. You have experience in implementing small-scale improvement in a project/business environment.

You are digitally savvy in using MS Excel, Word and with knowledge of SharePoint. You can build lasting relationships and will provide support to multi-disciplinary teams.
