Job Description

The Social & Content Products team sits within the Content Service for Publicis. Our Content Service consists of 70+ specialists working across content strategy & planning, creative, production, social, influencers and partnerships. We service Publicis brands, building complete content stories which are audience-centric and platform-native. Our global scale gives us unrivalled access to market-leading data, tech, marketplaces & partners.

In response to demand for our services across our social media offering, we require a Social Media Executive to join our growing content marketing service, Publicis Content.

Reporting into the Social Media Manager, you will support with the execution of multiple campaigns across a range of clients and sectors. You will be responsible for supporting with the day-to-day management of campaigns, and providing data and conducting research for both existing clients and new business opportunities.

  • Assist in the creation and development of weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports, including insights and recommendations, as directed by your Manager and the wider team
  • Support your Manager and the wider team with the day-to-day management of account deliverables and ad-hoc tasks, for example social listening, competitor audits etc.
  • Manage small-scale social content projects and tasks such as monthly content calendars, posting and scheduling of content across social media channels
  • Create bespoke social content such as Instagram Stories and Pinterest Pins and socially optimise existing assets to meet platform best practice
  • Build trusted relationships with your team, members of the wider agency, clients, client agency partners and third parties to foster an environment of mutual respect and help you better understand your client's business
  • Measure the success of campaigns, providing monthly and post campaign reports as required

Additional responsibilities
  • Use tools such as Sprout Social to manage multiple social media channels including moderation and community management
  • Assist in developing collateral for client meetings including status reports and contact reports
  • Contribute to the development of internal and external digital weekly newsletter
  • Support your Manager with responding to new business or organic growth briefs and present ideas to enhance campaigns
  • Manage priorities, find solutions to hurdles and adhere to project plans to meet delivery deadlines, with awareness of how your approach and behaviour impacts others
  • Proactively work with your team to resolve problems
  • Attend internal status / planning and client meetings and identify opportunities to grow revenue


Good communication skills, a passion for social media, and a can-do attitude are essential for you to be successful in this role. To deliver great work, you will be expected to adhere to social best practice guidelines, be able to manage your time across multiple projects and work to deadlines under pressure. This is a growing team looking for someone with loads of enthusiasm backed by some solid experience to help deliver award winning campaigns.

Essential skills and experience
  • At least 6 months experience working on or creating social media content and campaigns, including copywriting for social media platforms and community moderation
  • Flexible and hard working - used to working to deadlines and under pressure
  • Good knowledge of all social platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Snapchat
  • Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
Desired skills and experience
  • Basic understanding of paid media and the impact of content amplification across social media channels
  • Awareness of wider digital marketing channels and their integration with social media
  • Experience using social media tools for analysis and performance review, for example Facebook Analytics, Crimson Hexagon, Brandwatch, Sprout Social
  • Able to apply logical and rational judgement to everyday decisions whilst thinking about how these may affect business targets
  • Familiar with different types of content and what makes content engaging
