The Role:
As Software Development Manager, Next Generation Computing, you will join the team of hands-on, passionate and seasoned professionals developing innovative solutions for some of our most complex engineering challenges.

You will lead a team of experienced software and systems development engineers to define and implement our next generation middleware and compute core. You will be responsible for leading the development of the systems software and interconnects which power the Scout delivery devices. You will lead your team in the evaluation and prototyping of high performance compute solutions and will chart the path forward with novel approaches like edge computing, inference engines and multi-core SOCs. You and your team will be an essential part of our initiative to design and develop the next generation of autonomous delivery robots.


· Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
· Fluent in C, C++, and/or Python
· In-depth knowledge of CS fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, problem solving, and complexity analysis
· Strong understanding of Operating System internals and scheduling techniques
· Experience leading the development of high performance software on Real Time Operating Systems
· 5 + years of industry experience leading software development teams in a fast-paced environment


· Master's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
· Experience with Linux Kernel development
· Experience working with ROS, NIST NML, JAUS (SAE AS-4) or other robotic standards.
