As a Software Engineer working on Spark AR (augmented reality) at Facebook London, you will join the team behind AR Commerce and build tools to support the experience of using AR to enhance the selling of products and services. We are looking for a talented Engineer who is passionate about enabling Spark AR Sellers to connect with their customers despite barriers of distance and accessibility.

Software Engineer, Spark AR Commerce Responsibilities


  • Build the tools required to support AR Commerce for a Seller.

  • Enable Sellers to derive value from augmenting people and the world around us.

  • Enable 3rd party integrators to support this ecosystem by building on Facebook provided APIs

  • Improve code quality and stability.

  • Improve product reliability and performance.

Minimum Qualifications


  • BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science or similar discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • 2+ years in software development experience in industry and/or academia.

  • Experience in building software products.

  • Experience in designing and providing APIs for 3rd party use

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with large scale web backend and full stack development.

  • Experience with React.

  • Experience with data pipelines

  • Experience with building cross-platform APIs and Micro-Services.
