Department Overview

As Product Manager you will have an important role in the Motorola Solutions organisation and be responsible for the success of products related to our core business. You will be working closely with design and engineering teams as well as partnering with the sales, marketing, operations and strategic teams. You will be working in an international organisation that offers attractive career opportunities.
Job Description


The responsibilities associated with the Software Product Management role include, but are not limited to:
  • Plan, organize, drive and facilitate the development of new products and manage them throughout their life
  • Build business cases both for individual products
  • Write clear market requirements for products backed by market research and customer feedback
  • Measure the success of products, and manage their competitiveness
  • Research and assess competitors and market data
  • Develop use cases and translate these into tangible requirements
  • Develop product launch plans


Basic Requirements


The Software Product Manager should meet the baseline requirements listed in the following profile:

Essential experience:
  • 2+ years experience in engineering or Product Planning/Product Marketing/Product Management
  • Experience successfully launching new products
  • Experience working directly with customers
  • Track record of taking ownership of problems and making decisions when faced with uncertainty

Essential skills:
  • Confident and clear communicator, used to presenting to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
