Clean Future means swapping chemicals made by fossil fuels for renewable ingredients, creating low carbon footprint products, and making our formulations fully biodegradable to leave no trace behind.
This is an ambitious plan, and we are actively investing in people, partnerships & projects to deliver this plan, with 1 billion Euros pledged over the next 10 years to realize our vision.
Laundry is a category within Unilever Homecare that houses some of our famous global brands e.g. Persil, Omo, Surf, Comfort, to name a few. These products are available in over 50 countries & used by over 1 billion consumers. We have an amazing opportunity through our brands to both delight consumers & protect our planet.
Within laundry, unit dose capsules are one of the fastest growing formats globally, and a format we believe we could make the most sustainable laundry format in the world… with your help.

To build a world-class centre of excellence for water soluble films in laundry to fuel our sustainable innovation pipeline:
Building a partnership ecosystem to drive innovation in soluble films
Work with innovation project teams to deliver soluble film formats to market
Working with cross-functional teams to drive best practice in soluble films
Develop in-house knowledge of film/formulation & film/equipment interactions
Creation of digital tools to contribute to our cutting-edge “virtual laboratory”
ALL ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone that shares our passion for sustainability, and the drive to take our laundry capsules business to the next level:
Expertise in polymer chemistry
Strong collaboration & communication skills
Technical education – Degree in related-scientific subject
Fluent in English
Expertise in water soluble films
Natural polymers understanding
Liquid detergent formulation knowledge
