The successful candidate will be innovative, adaptable and motivated by enabling the pull through and real-world application of software engineering and science.

Job Purpose

Within Solutions Delivery you will be working in an environment where science, technology and business collaborate and innovate to produce solutions for a wide set of customers in a variety of sectors (e.g. government, defence, regulated and commercial industry).  

Solution Delivery teams work on a whole array of technology projects varying from key underpinning technology capabilities for forecasting and climate science through to regulated industry weather data platforms and digital weather services. 

All teams practise Agile methodologies and are heavily focused on providing cloud-based solutions with serverless technologies at the heart of this.  Our communities of Practise and excellent training opportunities allow us to invest in our teams and enable us to stay at the forefront of new technologies.

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

  1. Proven ability of developingrobustand serviceableenterpriselevelcodeacross agood numberof software projects. 
  2. Excellent communication skills enabling team focus and interaction with all project stakeholders.
  3. Ability to provide technical team direction and management of team members.

This role will nominally be based in Exeter but we will consider applicants wishing to work elsewhere within the UK.

This post requires you to gain full security clearance due to the nature of the role. Therefore, in order obtain full clearance you will need to have lived in the UK for 3 years out of the last 5 years.
